Among them are documents relating to Pratt Institute, Louise Latimer’s alma mater; Lincoln House (also known as Stillman House), a settlement house serving the primarily Black population of Manhattan’s San Juan Hill neighborhood; a newspaper clipping about the Old Powder House in Somerville, Massachusetts, a landmark depicted in a sketch by a young Lewis Latimer; and a handwritten transcription of Edna St. Vincent Millay’s short poem, “First Fig.”
