Letters to Lewis H. Latimer – Various Correspondences

This folder contains a miscellaneous assortment of letters addressed to Lewis H. Latimer, including congratulations to Lewis and Mary Latimer on their Golden wedding anniversary (1923) and “regrets” from invited guests who could not attend their anniversary party, an extended family reminiscence by Lewis Latimer’s nephew Cornelius McKeel (also called “Neal”) at the time of the Latimers’ anniversary, a letter to Lewis Latimer’s daughter Jeannette Norman from W.E.B. DuBois informing her that a song she wrote has been awarded Second Prize in a contest held by The Crisis magazine (1927), and a letter from William H. Meadowcroft, Thomas Edison’s secretary, to Lewis Latimer (1921).
