I’m Dr. A’isha La’Don Abdul Rahman, and I’ve spent over 20 years immersed in the fields of genealogy research, archival work, and transpersonal psychology, dedicated to preserving and celebrating the rich legacy of Black heritage. My journey has taken me through ancestral research, collaborations with cultural institutions, and the integration of innovative technologies like VR, AR, and AI to make history come alive.

Mission: To empower individuals and institutions in the preservation and celebration of Black heritage, arts, and culture through holistic and cutting-edge approaches that ensure our stories are remembered and passed down.

Vision: To create a legacy of preservation that honors the deep history and culture of African American and West African communities, making these narratives accessible to future generations through immersive technology.

I work with organizations, institutions, and individuals who are seeking innovative methods to explore, preserve, and celebrate Black heritage. Through my nonprofit, Legacy Builders & Empowerment Inc., I support GLAMs (galleries, libraries, archives, and museums) with VR, AR, and AI technologies to enhance access and engagement.

At Legacy Planning & Preservation Ltd., I partner with small museums, HBCUs, and historical associations to provide comprehensive services in digitization, collection management, digital asset management, and the creation of digital exhibitions. Together, we ensure that cultural legacies are preserved in both personal and institutional contexts, embracing the power of technology to keep these stories alive.
